DRAYCOTT Place followed up a Sligo success with a battling victory in the Cork Racecourse Kinsale Handicap Chase at Cork.

John Ryan's charge was never too far behind the pacesetting Another Rebel, before taking it up on the home bend under Danny Mullins, with A Decent Excuse in pursuit. Draycott Place (7-2) saw off that challenge by the last and came home three and three-quarter lengths in front, with Another Rebel getting back up close home to take second.
