Harry Derham may not be on the scoresheet yet this week, but the young trainer led the way at Thursday’s Tattersalls Cheltenham Festival Sale, where he bought the two top lots in tandem with bloodstock agent Ed Bailey.
The pair first made their mark when stretching to £320,000 for Michael Goff’s exciting four-year-old mare Clondaw Park, who eased clear on debut at Lisronagh last month. She became the first winner out of her dam, a half-sister to the top-class Nichols Canyon. The result continued a successful week for Goff, who sold Tuesday's Arkle Trophy winner Jango Baie.
