SEVERAL well-known figures from the sport horse world have been confirmed to speak at The Irish Field’s AI in Equine Conference at Naas Racecourse on Tuesday, September 9th.

Supported by the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine under the ETS Scheme, the full-day event will see four expert panels discuss how artificial intelligence and data analysis is transforming parts of the equine industry.

Leading equine veterinary surgeon Marcus Swail, Dr Sonja Egan of Horse Sport Ireland and Diarmuid Byrne from EquiRatings are among the 12 speakers taking part.

Swail will talk about his use of an AI-powered app for gait analysis, Egan will discuss the role data analytics plays in breeding programmes, and Byrne is part of a panel which will offer advice on how businesses can start to apply artificial intelligence to their own businesses.

Mark Costello, Editor of The Irish Field, said: “Artificial intelligence has already seeped into almost every aspect of our daily lives, often without us noticing. It offers enormous potential as a supportive tool for individuals, organisations and businesses across the horse industry.

“Our conference aims to provide some answers to questions about how people working with horses can harness AI’s capabilities and apply it, both to their daily routines and long-term goals.”

The day will feature four panel discussions, covering veterinary, performance optimisation, bloodstock and business applications. Guests will have the opportunity to ask questions and network with the speakers during the day.

Tickets have been selling briskly at the early bird price of €100 plus booking fee. Scan the QR code below to see the full list of speakers and secure your ticket.
