THE weekend after news of Success Day’s retirement to stud in 2020 was announced, his sire Jeremy (Danehill Dancer) was responsible for Reserve Tank who opened his winning account over fences in the Grade 2 Rising Stars Novices’ Chase at Wincanton. This was his second time over the larger obstacles and trainer Colin Tizzard is already thinking of Cheltenham in March for his star five-year-old.

Bred by Louis Dunne, Reserve Tank sold as a foal at Tattersalls Ireland through Vinesgrove Stud for €18,000 to John Coffey, and two and half years later was the subject of a private transaction for €35,000 at the Goffs Land Rover Sale when he was bought by Ross Doyle, having been consigned by Ballincurrig House Stud.
