FOLLOWING a two-year hiatus, the Thoroughbred Breeders’ Association has announced the return of the flat stallion parade at Tattersalls, Newmarket at 11am on Thursday, February 3rd, ahead of the first sale of 2022 at the venue.

Twelve stallions who are embarking on their first and second seasons at stud in Britain will feature in the parade, while the live event will be hosted by broadcaster Gina Bryce and Tattersalls’ Shirley Anderson-Jolag.

The following stallions will be parading: Newsells Park Stud’s A’Ali (Society Rock), Chapel Stud’s Bangkok (Australia), LM Stallions’ Diplomat (Teofilo) and Legends Of War (Scat Daddy), the National Stud’s Lope Y Fernandez (Lope De Vega), LM Stallions’ duo Mr Scaramanga (Sir Percy) and Roseman (Kingman), Whitsbury Manor Stud’s Sergei Prokofiev (Scat Daddy), another duo from LM Stallions, Southern Hills (Gleneagles) and Tip Two Win (Dark Angel), Mickley Stud’s Ubettabelieveit (Kodiac) and another from Newsells Park Stud, Without Parole (Frankel).

Breeders, owners and trainers are afterwards invited to view the stallions and speak with stud representatives. Light refreshments will also be served and the TBA team will be available to answer any enquiries. The event is free to attend.

The TBA flat committee chairman Philip Newton said: “We are delighted to see the flat stallion parade return this year, giving breeders and bloodstock enthusiasts the chance to see the latest recruits to the stallion ranks in one convenient location at the Tattersalls February Sale. The TBA team look forward to catching up with members at the event and we welcome enquiries from anyone interested in getting involved in thoroughbred breeding and bloodstock.”
