He races in the colours carried to Derby success by Authorized and is the latest winner from the Diktat mare Starstone. He is the fourth winner for his dam who is already responsible for the listed winning Handassa, a daughter of Dubawi. Starstone is an unraced half-sister to two Group 1 winning champion sprinters in Pastoral Pursuits and Goodricke.

PADDY Doyle from Barrack Lodge in Carnew, Co Wicklow, is looking forward to the National Hunt foal sales later this year as he will be consigning a Scorpion half-brother to recent dual hurdle winner Red Giant and a Notnowcato colt from the same family. Paddy bred Red Giant and he decided to sell him as a foal privately to Norman Williamson after he was unsold at public auction at €3,700. Williamson sold the Beneficial gelding as a three-year-old for €32,000 to Noel Meade and owner Patricia Hunt.
