THE two-day Horses in Training and Point-to-Point Sale kicks off on Wednesday with a session devoted to pointers. Thursday’s horses in training section features entries from the leading ‘track’ owners and trainers and will include the annual Million In Mind Dispersal.
The talented mare Timetoshine, winner of three of her four hurdle starts to date, looks the pick of the Million In Mind draft.
Owners Simon Munir and Isaac Souede will offer 13 lots, while other owners and trainers with sizeable offerings include Dan Skelton, Paul Nicholls, Nicky Henderson, Nigel Twiston-Davies, Stuart Crawford, Olly Murphy and Warren Greatrex.
There are also consignments from Alan King, Ben Pauling, Emma Lavelle, Fergal O’Brien, Garry Moore, Gordon Elliott, Harry Derham, Harry Fry, James Ewart, James and Jean Potter, Jonjo and A.J. O’Neill, Micky Hammond, Noel Fehily Racing, Paul Nolan, Phillip Hobbs, Shadwell and Tom Lacey.
By Wednesday, a total of 116 supplementary lots had been added. Further late entries are likely to be added in the days before the sale.
There is a five-lot dispersal to dissolve a partnership following the passing of owner Niall Farrell, all of which are in training with Alan King. Heading the dispersal is the smart eight-year-old Masaccio who has won or placed in all six of his chase starts. A five-time winner under rules, he won his chase debut at Newbury in November before placing second in a Grade 2 novices’ chase to the subsequent Grade 1 winner The Jukebox Man. He also placed third in the Grade 1 Kauto Star Novices’ Chase and was last seen winning the Novices’ Champion Handicap Chase at Ayr last month.
Also included in the dispersal is the six-year-old Paradias, a winner of six races under rules, who carries a BHA flat rating of 100.
