GORESBRIDGE Horse Sales has expanded its thoroughbred calendar once more with a new horses in training and flat yearling sale on Tuesday, September 16th.
The sales company is slotting in this new auction while discontinuing its June thoroughbred sale.
A press release issued by Goresbridge said that the company “has identified a clear demand for a sale that caters specifically to horses currently in training.
“The lack of domestic outlets for this category has long been noted. Goresbridge aims to fill that gap, offering vendors a timely and targeted opportunity to showcase their stock to a wide pool of domestic and international buyers.”
Goresbridge managing director Ed Donohoe said: “This is a sale we’ve been considering for some time. We’ve had consistent feedback from trainers and owners who feel there is a real need for an open alternative platform in Ireland to sell horses that are actively racing or ready to race. Whether it’s for horses with proven form or those just starting their career, this new sale offers a fantastic opportunity.”
The horses in training section will feature horses from both the flat and National Hunt. This new sale will be supported by Irish Thoroughbred Marketing and their Inward Buyers Programme.
Entries will be taken from June 16th until August 1st.
