TRAINER Brent Stanley and jockey Glyn Schofield have been charged by Racing Victoria stewards over the sale in May last year of the then unraced two-year-old colt Equita to Hong Kong.

It is alleged by stewards that Schofield received A$290,000 to pay for Equita, but Stanley’s owners were advised and received funds for a $200,000 sale, with Stanley retaining $70,000 and Schofield, who acted on behalf of the Hong Kong purchaser, retaining $20,000.
