LIAM O’Meara continued his unbelievable run of good form in Saturday’s round of the National Grand Prix league when winning what was to be his sixth victory of the 16-round league, not forgetting the two runner-up spots he also has to his credit.

Wins in Thomastown, Barnadown, Cavan, Galway and Charleville, as well as second places in Ballinasloe and Coilóg, means he is currently a massive 53 points ahead of his closest rival, Francis Connors, with a total of 79 points.
