AIDAN O'Brien has declared six colts for Friday evening's Tattersalls Irish 2000 Guineas.

The champion trainer has won the classic 11 times to-date and his team this year consists of Armory, Fort Myers, Lope Y Fernandez, Monarch Of Egypt, Royal Lytham and Vatican City.

Current favourite is Siskin, trained by Ger Lyons for Khalid Abdullah. The unbeaten son of First Defence progressed from his debut success at Naas in May to land a listed race at the Curragh before picking up the Group 2 Railway Stakes and then the Group 1 Phoenix Stakes.

He had been due to run in the Middle Park at Newmarket, but became unruly in the stalls and was withdrawn.

Michael Halford is represented by Sinawann, who was last seen finishing second to Mogul in Group 2 company on Irish Champions Weekend, while Jessica Harrington calls on the unexposed Leopardstown maiden winner Free Solo.

Jim Bolger runs the once-raced Fiscal Rules, whose only outing as a juvenile was a head second to 2000 Guineas runner-up Wichita at the Curragh in August.

Andrew Slattery’s Rebel Tale, second to Armory in the Futurity Stakes and two places behind Sinawann at Leopardstown, completes the line-up.
