RECENT Thurles bumper winner Bon Bon Fizz is among the 90 lots entered for the Tattersalls Online March Sale, which takes place next Wednesday and Thursday.
Trained by Paul O’Flynn, the six-year-old gelding had failed to complete in both a point-to-point and maiden hurdle previously but was a revelation when tried on the flat on March 5th, scoring by 15 lengths from an expensive point-to-point winner who himself had been placed second in a bumper on his previous start.
The catalogue features 62 horses in and out of training, five two-year-olds, three stores, two broodmares, two yearlings, a 2% share in stallion Nando Parrado and a breeding right to Invincible Army, who is now standing in Britain.
There are drafts from leading Irish and English point-to-point handlers including James Doyle’s Baltimore Stables, Denis Murphy’s Ballyboy Stables, Robert Tector’s Coolbawn Stables, Cormac Doyle’s Monbeg Stables and Stuart Crawford’s Newlands Farm.
Robert Tector offers smart filly Orderandout, who finished a strong second on debut at Lingstown. James Doyle consigns four-year-old gelding Power Of Authority, who was in second place when he fell in a point-to-point last month. Cormac Doyle’s Monbeg Stables offers placed four-year-old Send Em Running, who was second at Lingstown last weekend and Denis Murphy will offer Noble Fleet, who was second on debut at Tinahely.
The select offering of broodmares in the sale features the high-class National Hunt performer Anna Bunina. A multiple winner under both codes, the daughter of Poet’s Voice won the Grade 2 Scottish Champion Hurdle at Ayr and gained significant blacktype when finishing runner-up in the Grade 1 Annie Power Mares Champion Hurdle at the Punchestown Festival.
