A TV programme to keep an eye out for is The Long Shot, a racing documentary going out on RTÉ One on Tuesday, July 28th. The programme follows David Keoghan as he invests half a million euro in six horses, aiming to take on the biggest names in the business with the help of Fozzy Stack and Wayne Lordan.

Four years ago, racehorse owner David Keoghan took the punt of his life. After his first runner at Royal Ascot - Lolly For Dolly - surprised everyone by romping home to win the Group 2 Windsor Forest Stakes, he decided to plunge again. Having sold Lolly For Dolly for a tidy sum, he spent €400,000 on six young horses and another €100,000 training them to compete against the biggest names in racing.
