LIAM O'Meara got his defence of the Connolly's Red Mills Spring Tour title off to the perfect start, when taking the top two places in the opening leg at JAG Equestrian on Sunday.

O'Meara took the honours on his own Mr Coolcaum, blazing home in a time of 34.08, just beating his other mount, Curraghgraigue Jack Take Fligh into second place.
