ODDS-ON favourite Ballyoisin was firmly put in his place by Henry De Bromhead's Attribution in the Limerick GAA Chase at Limerick.

Sent off the 4/9 market leader after an impressive win at Killarney, Ballyoisin shared the pacesetting duties with his main rival, but the writing looked on the wall entering the straight as Attribution pulled clear.

A sticky leap from the favourite at the second last sealed the deal, with the 9/2 winner keeping on gamely for JJ Slevin, eventually recording a three and a quarter-length verdict.

Slevin said: "He is game, tough and honest and he jumps. He had loads left but got lairy in front and it's great to get the win.

"At the top of the hill, he (Ballyoisin) was in trouble as he went very quick and won four days ago and that might have taken its toll on him, as he is a very very good horse.

"My lad is no slouch either and was only 5lb wrong at the weights."
