British racing fans at the Dublin Racing Festival say it cost less to fly & stay there for 2 days than for the equivalent trip to the Cheltenham Festival.

I’m a member at Cheltenham and this was my 3rd DRF. The overwhelming difference is the nature of the crowd. Even the youngsters who are there for the occasion rather than the sport had manners and behaved. The festival now can resemble a rowdy stag do.

The best two days of NH racing outside of Cheltenham. It was great to see all the UK visitors which greatly added to the atmosphere. Most people who attend this meeting are very knowledgeable about racing and just love to see good horses taking each other on.

Our first time. Will definitely go again. Everyone i spoke to said they loved it and would go again. A great 2 days. I’ve been a Cheltenham member for 10+ years and won’t be going all 4 days. DRF felt racing focused.

What a day’s racing we had. The atmosphere was electric and punters got off to a flying start with a winning fav. Plenty of fancied horses won so punters were happy. Our English neighbours seemed to enjoy themselves. I’ve never seen a crowd like it in a long time, big shout out to Mr Husbands and his staff.

What a day @LeopardstownRC yesterday. It hit the mark on so many levels, quality of racing, presentation of track, entertainment, food & drink options, value - but the customer service was simply outstanding. Take a bow Team Leop! You aced it! A day to remember. #goracing
