TATTERSALLS have again succeeded in keeping their first auction of 2016 to just a one-day affair, even though the catalogue is considerably larger than last year for their February Sale, to be held at Park Paddocks on Thursday, February 4th. This is the 250th anniversary year for Tattersalls.

The 387 entries are 80 more than last February for this flat-race auction, which is now in its 16th year and mainly comprises horses and fillies in training, though there will also be 40 broodmares and 13 yearlings. As usual, there are quite substantial drafts of over 60 from Godolphin and 18 from Juddmonte Farms. The entries include several blacktype winners. Before selling begins, the Newmarket Sales Ring will be the scene for the TBA Stallion Parade at 9.30am.
