Older horses

Bolshoi Ballet

5yo b h (1714469/4-)

Galileo - Alta Anna

It was his first start after a break last time at Lingfield over a mile and a quarter. He’s back in full work again and we’ll probably go up in trip with him.

Broome

7yo b h (1447868-51)

Australia - Sweepstake

We were delighted with him winning at Meydan last weekend. He’ll probably be trained for the Gold Cup at Ascot. We’re not sure about the two and a half miles for him but we’ll see. He could go for the Goodwood Cup after that and then on to the Irish Leger and Melbourne Cup, those types of races.

Changingoftheguard

4yo b c (452/1151-)

Galileo - Lady Lara

He stays a mile and a half well, having won over that trip at Chester and Royal Ascot last season, and hopefully he’ll get further too. We’ll look at the Coronation Cup for him, and we might give him a run before that. He got a hairline fracture of his tibia and that kept him out last season.

Emily Dickinson

4yo b f (5152435461-)

Dubawi - Chicquita

We were very happy with her when stepping up to two miles for the first time and winning the Loughbrown Stakes at the Curragh. She grew another leg for going up in trip. When she goes beyond [two miles] she could even be better too. She’s going to do the two Gold Cup trials – at Navan [in the Vintage Crop Stakes] and Leopardstown [in the Saval Beg Stakes] – and then go to the Gold Cup at Ascot. She could be a very good stayer.

Kyprios

5yo ch h (14/111111-)

Galileo - Polished Gem

I don’t think he’ll make the Gold Cup at Ascot. He got a little bit of an infection in a joint and it’s not settling down. We’ll just have to wait and see. It happened a month ago and it’s just not settling. Sometimes those things can settle very quickly and sometimes they don’t.

Luxembourg

4yo b c (111/3117-)

Camelot - Attire

The plan is to start him off in the Prix Ganay at Longchamp [on April 30th]. We’re very happy with him. He was at the Curragh last weekend and we were very happy with what he did. Physically, he has done very well since last year. The Tattersalls Gold Cup and the Prince of Wales’s Stakes would look his next targets after the Ganay. He’s much more powerful and stronger this year.

Point Lonsdale

4yo b c (11112/0-)

Australia - Sweepstake

We haven’t seen him since the 2000 Guineas at Newmarket last year. He went very well at the Curragh last weekend and Seamus [Heffernan] was very happy with him in his first serious piece of work. He might go to the Mooresbridge Stakes.

Tenebrism

4yo b f (1/8412355-)

Caravaggio - Immortal Verse

She’ll go sprinting and will probably start in one of the local sprints. She’s nearly ready to go. She’s a fast filly, and I’d say five or six furlongs would be fine. Last year we were dallying around with her in terms of trips, but it was very obvious she was a sprinter once dropping in trip. She’ll be trained differently. She could possibly be one to do both the King’s Stand and Platinum Jubilee Stakes at Royal Ascot.

Thoughts Of June

4yo gr f (25/219-)

Galileo - Discreet Marq

She won the Cheshire Oaks last year and hasn’t run since the Oaks at Epsom. She went to the Curragh last weekend too. We’ll look for a Group 3 over a mile and a half.

Three-year-olds

Adelaide River

3yo b c (1223-)

Australia - Could It Be Love

He worked very well [at the Curragh last weekend]. He was placed in Group 2 and Group 3 company last season after winning a maiden at Dundalk on debut.

Aesop’s Fables

3yo b c (11442-)

No Nay Never - How’s She Cuttin’

He won the Futurity Stakes over seven furlongs last season but we think he’s a sprinter. He has done very well over the winter.

Age Of Kings

3yo b c (21743-)

Kingman - Turret Rocks

He ran well in some Group 2s and Group 3s last season and was getting ready for the Guineas trials, but he’s probably going to get a couple of easy weeks.

Alexandroupolis

3yo b c (1-)

Camelot - Jazz Cat

He’s working very well and we’re looking at the Ballysax Stakes this Sunday. He handles an ease in the ground and we’re very happy with what he’s doing at the moment. He’s made good progress.

Alfred Munnings

3yo bc (16-)

Dubawi - Best In The World

We had been thinking of heading to Leopardstown this weekend for the 2000 Guineas Trial but we didn’t end up declaring him. He could be an Irish or French Guineas type. He won nicely on his first start at Leopardstown but didn’t run again last season after he chipped his splint bone in the Chesham at Royal Ascot. He has done well since.

Auguste Rodin

3yo br c (2111-)

Deep Impact - Rhododendron

He’ll start off in the 2000 Guineas at Newmarket. You would imagine he’ll have no bother stretching out to a mile and a quarter, or a mile and a half - he’s that type of horse. We were nearly not running him at Doncaster when he won the Vertem Futurity because of the testing ground as he’s an exceptional mover; very, very slick, very long, very low mover. He’s the type of horse who could start in the Guineas and stretch out. He was always very classy from the first time Ryan [Moore] rode him. I remember Ryan riding him in February, as a two-year-old, and he was raving about him then. If we have a horse who could do the Triple Crown, he would definitely be the one.

Be Happy

3yo b f (15-)

Camelot - Frequential

She won on her debut at Cork before getting caught in a bit of a mess in a Group 3 at the Curragh. She runs on Saturday at Saint-Cloud [in the Group 3 Prix Penelope], a fillies’ trial over a mile and a quarter. She could turn into an Oaks filly.

Beginnings

3yo b f (41-)

Lord Kanaloa - Winter

She won a maiden nicely on her second start at Dundalk in November. She’ll go to a Guineas trial and is fit and forward.

Boogie Woogie

3yo b f (823-)

Dubawi - Seventh Heaven

She’s a good maiden and could be a Group filly, maybe going a mile and a half. She had a nice run in a maiden at the back-end of last year. She’ll start in a maiden probably over a mile or a mile and a quarter.

Cairo

3yo b c (2121-10)

Quality Road - Cuff

He was disappointing last weekend at Meydan in the UAE Derby, but we feel he just didn’t face the kickback on the dirt.

Carracci

3yo b c (51-)

Quality Road - Butterflies

He won a maiden at Dundalk last November and will run at Leopardstown on Sunday in the 2000 Guineas Trial.

Continuous

3yo b c (11-)

Heart’s Cry - Fluff

He has done well and handles soft ground. He progressed nicely from winning a maiden at the Curragh to win a Group 3 at Saint Cloud last September. He was at the Curragh last weekend and will go for a Derby trial.

Dame Kiri

3yo ch f (3341-)

Justify - Hence

She won a maiden easily at Naas in October. We’ll start her off in the 1000 Guineas Trial at Leopardstown on Sunday.

Denmark

3yo b c (12-)

Camelot - Board Meeting

He won a maiden at Naas before being just touched off at Longchamp. He’s going to stay well; a mile and a half plus, probably. He could turn into a Leger horse but will start off in the Ballysax Stakes at Leopardstown on Sunday.

Diamondsareforever

3yo b f (1-)

Justify - Diamondsandrubies

A big, Justify filly who won a maiden at Dundalk for Willie Browne. She’ll start in one of those Oaks trials and we’ll take it from there.

Espionage

3yo b c (212-)

Galileo - Even Song

He ran well when second in the Criterium International at Saint Cloud in October. He was in full work but he had a bit of an issue with a shoulder that has held him up, so he won’t be out in the early part of the season.

Greenland

3yo b c (52414-)

Saxon Warrior - Aktoria

I’m not sure whether we should go up in trip with him, we’re thinking of a Derby trial. He’s done very well physically. Things probably didn’t happen for him on his last start in the Royal Lodge.

Hans Andersen

3yo b c (2125-)

Frankel - Shadow Hunter

We’re looking at the 2000 Guineas Trial at Leopardstown on Sunday with him.

Hippodrome

3yo br c (5616-)

Galileo - Lightning Thunder

A staying type who won a maiden at the Curragh towards the back-end of last year. He’s going to get a mile and six, and possibly even further.

Library

3yo b f (32125-)

Galileo - Words

We think she’s a good filly, a listed or group filly at a mile and a quarter. She ran well when second in the Ingabelle Stakes at Irish Champions Weekend and may even get a mile and a half. She’ll go to Saint-Cloud on Saturday [for the Group 3 Prix Penelope].

Little Big Bear

3yo b c (21111-)

No Nay Never - Adventure Seeker

What he did in winning the Phoenix Stakes last year was just different. He’ll start off in the 2000 Guineas but would be very comfortable and happy to go back sprinting any time. There’s a very good chance he will get a mile, though. He races very relaxed.

Meditate

3yo bg f (1111221-)

No Nay Never - Pembina

She’s the one for the 1000 Guineas. She did a gentle piece of work at the Curragh over the weekend as she had been away to Tipperary to gallop a month before that and came back a little bit sore. The plan is still to go to Newmarket. She’s a very professional fIlly. She’s not overly big, but she’s strong.

Milwaukee

3yo ch c (4-)

Justify - Moth

He only had one run in a maiden at the Curragh towards the back-end of the season. He’s a middle-distance horse and could be a group or listed type.

Mohawk Chief

3yo b c (71-)

Quality Road - Wedding Vow

He’ll start off on Sunday in the Ballysax Stakes. He has a lazy way of racing. He’s by Quality Road so would like nicer ground but he handles soft ground and might get ten furlongs and further.

Never Ending Story

3yo b f (311343-)

Dubawi - Athena

A very good filly. She was always the best work horse of the two-year-old fillies last year. I think she’ll stay a mile and a quarter possibly further. She’s a bit behind the others in her coat, but has been working very well. She’s bred to be a better filly at three. We haven’t seen the best of her at all. She’ll run in Sunday’s 1000 Guineas Trial at Leopardstown.

Paddington

3yo b c (51-1)

Siyouni - Modern Eagle

He won the Madrid Handicap nicely at Naas last weekend. He’ll go for a trial now and could end up in the French Guineas. He might stay a mile-and-a-quarter, so may turn into a Prix du Jockey Club type too.

Peking Opera

3yo b c (21-)

Galileo - Bugle

He came forward nicely from his debut to win a maiden at Leopardstown last autumn. He’s a strong traveller but was babyish enough last year. He should be one for a mile and a quarter, or maybe even a mile and a half if we take our time with him.

Statuette

3yo ch f (11-)

Justify - Immortal Verse

She’s on a little bit of a hold up. I don’t think she’s going to make the Guineas. We’ll go gently with her and see.

Tender Kiss

3yo b f (unraced)

Galileo - Marsha

She’s yet to run but has a lovely pedigree as the first foal out of Marsha, a very talented sprinter. She’s going nicely and will start off in a fillies’ maiden over a mile at Leopardstown on Sunday.

The Antarctic

3yo gr c (11732132-)

Dark Angel - Anna Law

He’s made really good progress and could be a very good sprinter. He’ll handle an ease in the ground. He gets six furlongs well and could even get a little further. Physically, he has done very well.

We have options in Ireland for him to start off this season. He could be a Commonwealth Cup type.

Tower Of London

3yo b c (15-)

Galileo - Dialafara

He worked very well at the Curragh at the weekend, and we think he could be a nice middle-distance horse.

We thought he was a very good horse, he won his maiden at Leopardstown and then ran very keenly in the race won by Auguste Rodin on Irish Champions Weekend. He didn’t run afterwards and obviously that wasn’t his run. He could well be a Derby horse.

Unless

3yo ch f (335-2)

Justify - Clemmie

She was just beaten in a maiden at the Curragh last Saturday but hopefully she’ll go back and win her maiden, and then get some blacktype.

Victoria Road

3yo b c (42241111-)

Saxon Warrior - Tickled Pink

He improved nicely towards the end of last season and was very good when winning at the Breeders’ Cup. He’ll probably go to the French Guineas and then we may look at the French Derby.

Warm Heart

3yo b f (4-)

Galileo - Sea Siren

She only had one run at Dundalk in November and is working like a nice maiden. She’ll start in a fillies’ maiden over a mile at Leopardstown on Sunday.

Two-year-olds

I think Alabama is one to watch. He’s a No Nay Never horse out of Dream The Blues, the dam of Sioux Nation.

We have other nice No Nay Never two-year-olds called Battle Cry, out of I’ll Have Another, Emperor Of Rome, out of Coral Shell, The Liffey, out of Rain Goddess, His Majesty, out of Czabo, and Carnegie Hall, out of Compression.

There’s also another nice, early filly by Ten Sovereigns called Brighter.
