Origins of your nickname: As a child, my friends pronounced my name as Sneezy and it’s stuck ever since!

Equestrian background: After qualifying as a riding instructor I worked with show jumpers here in Ireland before moving to Liege in Belgium, where as well as teaching English to the family’s daughter, I exercised and prepared her horses for their competitions at weekends. Moved back to work at Ferrans Stud where I worked with Eddie Macken just after the Boomerang era. Met David (Foster) there and we eventually married. We then set up here in Possextown where we had an eventing yard with horses up to Olympic level.

Racing background: Personally none but David was passionate about racing having ridden their homebred pointers and hunter chasers which were trained by his father Barney under permit.

Location: Enfield, Co Meath.

Facilities: 23 boxes, walker, sand school, sand and fibre round gallop, turnout paddocks and we are just beside Lee Valley and Skyrne Gallops.

Biggest winner: Lily’s Rainbow winning the Listed Heritage Stakes Navan April 2016.

Jockeys used: Robbie Power and Wayne Lordan have first option over jumps and on the flat. After that the best available.

Your Christmas wish list: For the horses to remain fit and healthy and for them to run to the best of their ability.

New year’s resolution: I’d like to increase the quality of horse in the yard.

Favourite part of the job: Doing morning feeds when it’s just me and the horses.

Specialist area: Schooling the youngsters in my sand school.

Best piece of advice: Leave your heart at home and use your head. (I’m not too sure if I took it on board!).

Ultimate goal: In a nutshell it would be to have more winners. You can’t beat that feeling.
