SEAN Stafford’s Ballyv Rosie was the Champion Loose Performance Filly (three-year-old) at the Gallagher Dublin Horse Show last Thursday. Led up by Michael Bowe, this filly scored 96 points, ahead of the next in line by an impressive seven points. She scored 17 for conformation, 25 for canter, 18 for technique, 18 for scope, 10 for reflexes and eight for attitude.

By Chacoon Blue out of a Luidam mare, she was bred by Sean Stafford of Ballyvarogue Stables and, according to Michael Bowe, was sold prior to the event to Ethen Ahearne and Mikey and Annemarie Pender. “They saw her at the qualifier and then came to see her jump at home and then, once she passed the vet, the deal was done and we were thrilled,” he said. “I produced her myself from wild in the field in April to winning at Dublin, so it’s unbelievable.”
