A LONGSTANDING favourite on the show jumping calendar, the Inistioge Show once again drew strong support this year, with impressive entries across all divisions.

In the Jack Ryan 1.35m Mervue Equine Leinster Tour, which included the seven-year-old Leinster Summer League, 31 went to post. Claiming this win was Mikey Pender and the Bravo Hughes-owned seven-year-old HHS Venice when he was fastest of three double clears in 37.36. Fresh from their win in Bannow and Rathangan, Jack Ryan and Calgrafi Dwb was back in the line-up, claiming the runner-up spot when they crossed the line in 37.50. Francis Connors and Carrigshawn Vendi Royal slotted into third place when clear in 38.54. Last of the double clears in a time of 39.71 was Tholm Keane and Yes Man, for eventual fourth. Young rider, Billy Sinnott and Ridge Douglas Lady put in a very fast time of 40.57, which proved good enough for fifth place. Leah Stack also had one on the ground with BP Tiny Dancer but in a slower time of 41.21 for sixth place.
