CONGRATULATIONS to Jonny McCallum and event rider Naomi Buchanan, who were engaged on Christmas Day last. The pair hunt with the Newry Hunt Club and the South Tyrone Hunt Club and welcomed their son Max into the world in September.

Commenting on the happy news, Naomi said: “Both of us are from Co Down. We met during Cheltenham week in a bar in Belfast. The proposal took place at home with the horses. I come from an equestrian family and have always ridden horses as a hobby. I try to do some eventing in the summer, alongside my work as a solicitor.
