THE thoroughbred and Connemara themes continued at Glaslough (2) on Saturday in the five-runner EI110 (J) class won by Belfast’s Hannah Morrow who completed on her winning dressage score (29.5) with her mother Jane’s bay mare My Good Thyne Girl.

The nine-year-old daughter of the Irish Sport Horse sire Yeats was bred in Co Wicklow by Joan Rothwell out of the thoroughbred mare Late For Lunch (by Good Thyne) who comes from the family of the Grade A chase winner Killultagh Storm. With 7.2 cross-country time penalties, Kate Shields finished second on Brenda Turley’s 10-year-old I Love You Melody gelding, Melody Maker, with whom she has qualified for the Connemara performance hunter championship at next month’s Dublin Horse Show.
