MBF Sport Horses sold the top-priced three-year-old at Wednesday’s Goresbridge Go For Gold Sale when their KWPN-registered gelding MBF Shadow (Lot 35), who was put on the market at €47,000, was knocked down for €60,000.

Signing for the Mees VD Watermolen chesnut was British event horse owner Karla Wheatcroft, who is a staunch supporter of this sale having made such costly purchases previously as the Max Warburton-ridden pair Monbeg Condor and Monbeg Can Do.
