Rock Ya Boy Ya looks to have been found a suitable opening to shed his maiden tag at the sixth attempt.

The Francis Casey-trained gelding showed initial promise before improving to finish third on his latest start over hurdles at Killarney.

He needs to put a recent disappointing run at Tipperary behind him but that came on the flat and he may just prove to be a better hurdler.

Wrecking Ball Paul was pulled up on his latest start but that was due to a slipped saddle. Prior to that, he had run well when fourth at Killarney.

On the bare form of that run, he has some work to do in order to overturn form with Rock Ya Boy Ya.

Daisy Dufresne appears the most solid option in a weak contest. With an official rating of 102, the daughter of Doyen sets the standard among those that have previous hurdling experience.

While undoubtedly vulnerable to a newcomer, she should be well versed in the art of jumping at pace after the five starts over flights already.

Sky Sprinter didn’t show a great deal in three runs in bumpers but could be a different proposition now jumping. Willie Mullins always does well with the horses he sends to this track so the gelding has to be respected.

Some Dove could be well handicapped off a mark of 106, if taking the form of her Kilbeggan win literally.

The runner-up subsequently won a handicap hurdle by 13 lengths and has the look of an improving type. He could never get to grips with the De Bromhead-trained winner at the midlands track, so hopes must be high that Some Dove can make a winning handicap debut.

Lady Heath has yet to fully replicate her strong bumper form over hurdles but has hinted that she is capable of doing just that. A first-time tongue-tie could make a difference.

Red Ball Of Fire can gain some compensation for a couple of recent unlucky runs at this track.

The locally trained mare finished third here on the flat back in May, before again enjoying no luck in running when occupying a similar position last time. In between those two runs, she went close back over hurdles at Downpatrick.

Peckham Springs really improving for the fitting of cheekpieces at Downpatrick last time. Provided the headgear has the same effect at the second time of asking, he looks a serious contender on a track that should suit.

Presenting Lad should make a bold bid to give the locals a welcome winner. Mark McNiff always targets this meeting and in the son of Califet, he has a horse in rude health.

The six-year-old has reached the frame on all four starts for the stable, including when winning at Roscommon on his penultimate outing.

Perhaps unfortunate to bump into a well-handicapped rival back at that track last time, he can resume winning ways.

Boston Brahmin, third behind Presenting Lad at Roscommon, has a real chance of reversing that form at these weights. Trainer Norman Lee, who does very well with similar types, has been among the winners recently.

Bang On Target lacks experience for a race of this nature but is well handicapped. The Lorna Fowler-trained mare, who is bred to stay this trip, showed improved form when stepping up in distance last time.

The form of her bumper third has worked out very well and she looks a live contender provided her lack of handicap experience doesn’t prove a negative.

Silver Planeur showed her first bit of form since winning over the course and distance, when fourth at Limerick last time. She is likely to have been targeted at this race for some time.

On The Sixth Day can go one better, having finished second on her racecourse debut at Listowel.

The John Ryan-trained mare showed enough at the Kerry track to suggest she should win a similar race with the benefit of that experience. Harry Swan retains the ride of the daughter of Westerner.

Grivei is an obvious danger as he also just found one too strong on his initial run.

Off the track since that Fairyhouse bumper, he has every chance for the Willie and Patrick Mullins team.
