IT was certainly a good day for Jason Foley at Mullingar CSI2* International, as before winning the Grand Prix, he took the win in the earlier 1.35m class. Riding Origi van de Bandam, he delivered the winning round of clear in 37.77. Cathal Daniels added to his tally, taking second with Like A Star, clear in 38.24. There was much support for resident rider Alanna Fagan and Billy Hastings, as they took third with a clear in 38.96, ahead of Isabel Fitzpatrick and Premier Lily, clear in 40 seconds. Emma O’Dwyer added to her record, taking fifth with Cornetto Denfer, when they stopped the clock in 41, ahead of Galway rider Olive Clarke and Norway Grace clear in 43.12.

Following two weeks of jumping, the leading riders were announced. The Respa Leading International Rider was Sven Hadley. Hadley also won the McCabe’s Leading National Rider title. The Leading International Lady, sponsored by Harry Fitzpatrick and Ennell Jewellers, was Nicola Fitzgibbon.
