LEADING the victory lap in the Sean & Helen Greaney sponsored 1.20m at Hollypark last week was Alannah O’ Donoghue and the eight-year-old Fairy Fort, when they came home with nothing to add in a time of 26.78. Along with her share of the €500 on offer she was also presented with a rug which was sponsored by Deelside Saddlery.

Taking the runner-up spot was Shane Goggins and aboard the five-year-old SFG Guinness when clear in 31.24.

A clear in 32.20 was enough for junior rider Julius Bleser and the six-year-old Madame Gazelle to take third place. Rhys Williams and Baloys PS also featured in this line-up, claiming fourth when clear in 35.63. Maura Counihan partnered John O’ Sullivan’s six-year-old CSF Carrie to a clear in 36 seconds for fifth place.Completing the top six line up was junior rider Coen Williams and the five-year-old Carlinggords Chin Lui, clear in 36.99.

Two phase

Victory in the €1,000 Karlswood sponsored 1.30m two phase belonged to young rider Eoghan Fahey when he was the fastest of 18 double clears in a time of 27.94 aboard his own HHS Caprese. Less than a second behind was Maura Counihan and Cruising On the Ridge, stopping the clock in a time of 28.79. Young rider Nadine Carey and Sacre Bleu left nothing to spare as they came home in 30.03 for third place. Liam O’ Meara and CSF Day Dreamer followed closely behind, coming home in 30.34 for eventual fourth. There was nothing between the next placing as Fiona O’Malley guided the seven-year-old Dps Orchestrator to a clear in 30.48.

O’ Malley was chased home by junior rider Sarah Fitzgerald and LSV Cardento Cruise, who clocked 30.90 for sixth place.
