ALONG with the international classes, Mullingar Equestrian also welcomed national riders with a host of classes. On Friday, taking the win in the Abbey Upholstery 1.25m was Sean Dooley and Indie Girl with a clear in 31.24. Sven Hadley also made his mark in the national classes, taking the runner-up spot with Londons Diamant with a clear in 33.27. John Mulligan and the seven-year-old Tinkerbell took third with a clear in 33.80, ahead of Leinster young rider, Sadhbh Cuffe and Dunard Chill Out Lui, clear in 34.40. Accounting for fifth was Shane Goggins and Clooncalagy Bobby, clear in 34.64, while in sixth was Paddy O’Donnell, who was riding James Nash’s Quality Command, clear in 35.19.

On Saturday, in the national arenas, the Karlswood Stables Leinster Summer Tour took centre stage. Sven Hadley made his presence known in this arena, as he rode to victory in the 1.35m section. Riding Elka De La Pomme, he was the fastest of 18 double clears in a time of 34.37. Hadley was chased home by Holly Lenahan and Khalinov, following closely behind in a time of 34.76. Hallie Crowe and Bouvier Belle, left nothing to spare, stopping the clock in 35.49 for third, while in fourth was Catriona Fallon and Freddy Bear, in a time of 36.30. Lily P Slattery and Captain Candy Man were only a split second behind, crossing the line in 36.34. Also a winner in the international arena, Camryn Clarke collected in this class, taking sixth with Miranda Van De Muggenhoek, when stopping the clock in a time of 37.58.
