Fractions behind, and slotting into third was Sophie Richards and Artic Blue, clear in 33.55, while in fourth place was Francis Derwin and MMG Candy Lady (6yo), clear in 33.84. Derwin also took fifth place with Carol Gee’s Leonardo (7yo) clear in 33.92, while Brendan Murphy took another share of the prize fund when he partnered ABS Misty (6yo) to sixth place in 34.13.

Junior rider Tommy Halford and Greenvale Draco slotted into third place, clear in 44.81, ahead of Jake Hunter and Cento Blue, clear in 46.81. Fifth place belonged to Taylor Cummins and CSF Gabby Abbey after they delivered the last of the double clears in 49.91. Brendan Murphy and PNP Rocco put in a fast round of 43.10, but it came at a price as they had one on the ground for sixth place.
