IRISH show jumping team manager Michael Blake today (Monday) named his squad for this weekend’s Longines EEF Series Final which takes place at Warsaw in Poland.

The Longines EEF Series is organised by the European Equestrian Federation (EEF), in order to provide young talented riders, as well as up-and-coming horse and rider combinations and emerging European nations, with a chance to gain experience and improve technically at top level shows.

After eight qualifying shows and two semi-finals, 11 teams will now compete in the Longines EEF Series Final which starts at 10am this Sunday, September 11th,

The Irish squad for the Longines EEF Series Final is as follows:

Tipperary’s Trevor Breen with Germaine W – owned by Mandy Hall

Waterford’s Anthony Condon SFS Vincomte – owned by Pat Hales & Anthony Condon

Sligo’s Kevin Gallagher with Ballypatrick Flamenco (ISH) – owned by Greg Broderick

Clare’s Eoin McMahon with Chakra 9 – owned by Ludger Beerbaum Stables

Tipperary’s Thomas Ryan with Springfield 21 – owned by H3K Equestrian AB

Ireland, who won the fourth leg of the series this year in Lisbon (POR), will be up against teams from Austria, Belgium, Spain, Germany, Hungary, The Netherlands, Portugal, Sweden, the host country Poland and Italy. The teams from Austria, Italy, Portugal, Spain and Hungary will not only be battling to win but also fighting for promotion to the Longines FEI Jumping Nations Cup Europe Division 1 for the 2023 season.

The Longines EEF Series Final will be broadcast live by ClipMyHorse.

The EEF is the representative body for the European based national equestrian federations. Working closely with the Federation Internationale Equestre (FEI) and the National Federations, the EEF works to maximise the potential and development of equestrianism throughout the continent.
