Sea The Stars has had his covering fee raised from €85,000 to €125,000 following two classic winners from his first crop of three-year-olds this year. The Gilltown Stud stallion was represented on the track this year by 10-length German Derby winner Sea The Moon and the Epsom Oaks and King George winner Taghrooda. In the sales ring his yearlings sold averaged €338,000 and the highest price was €1.1 million. Fellow Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe winner Dalakhani also stands at Gilltown and his fee comes down to €17,500. His eight stakes winners in 2014 were headed by dual Group 1 winner Integral. Pat Downes, manager of Gilltown Stud, said: “Sea The Stars has lived up to the expectations and has proved himself one of the best European stallions with his first generation of three-year-olds. Dalakhani continues to demonstrate how reliable a source of classy performers he is and his 2015 fee makes him an attractive stallion for breeders.”
