THERE are up to 30 slots available in next Thursday’s Goffs UK Autumn Sale in Doncaster for point-to-pointers and horses with form. Keep an eye on the Goffs UK website for details of late entries.

The original catalogue has just under 200 entries, starting with 50 yearlings and then mostly horses in training, many of which are winners from top stables.

This one-day auction was understandably low-key in 2020 but one of the top lots at the 2019 edition was Buzz (£80,000) who was bought out of Hughie Morrison’s yard and went on to finish second in the Grade 1 Aintree Hurdle and won last Saturday’s Cesarewitch at Newmarket.

Willie Mullins still has nine entries in next week’s sale and his draft includes Koshari, Rebellito, Annamix (second to Galvin at Punchestown this week), Dads Lad and Exchange Rate, all of whom look capable of winning more races.

Denis Hogan has seven entries, including six-time winner Cyrus Dallin and winning hurdler Zanavi. Other Irish trainers with interesting consignments include Tom Mullins and Mouse Morris.

The yearling section features progeny by Acclamation, Bated Breath, Bungle Inthejungle, Camacho, Expert Eye, Harry Angel, Havana Grey, Highland Reel, Profitable, Sioux Nation and Washington DC.

Notable lots

Lot 59: The broodmare Bonbonniere, a half-sister to the Irish Grand National winner Burrows Saint and out of the listed-winning mare La Bombonera. She will be sold in absentia.

Lot 119: Breakeven, a bumper and hurdle winner who won his debut chase.

Lot 125: Strensham Court, winner of two of his four bumper starts.

Lot 156: Koshari, graded placed over hurdles and fences and a listed winner over hurdles at Punchestown in May.

Lot 159: Rebellito, a son of Montmartre and a three-time winner on the flat.

Lot 190: Annamix, 8yo gelding, won three races, 2nd to Galvin this week.
