All 16 horses offered in the inaugural Goffs UK Tingle Creek Sale at Sandown on Saturday were sold and seven of them made six-figure sums.

Held after racing in a packed winner's enclosure, the sale was topped by handler Donnchadh Doyle and Monbeg Stables who sold the top two lots with both surpassing the £300,000 mark.

The debut point-to-point winner Brook Bay, a son of Affinisea who won his debut at Lingstown, secured the top price when selling to Martin Tedham’s Wasdell Properties and Jonjo O'Neill for £380,000, while the smart Walk In The Park four-year-old, Flash In The Park, was knocked down to Ben Pauling for £350,000 following an eye-catching win at Knockmullen House.

Goffs UK managing director Tim Kent said: "It has been a fantastic evening here at Sandown Park – we are delighted. We have been very busy with inspections yesterday and today, we have welcomed a huge amount of people, and the atmosphere at the sale was fantastic.

"It was all set up with our point-to-point graduate Jonbon winning at Sandown earlier today and to have sold every lot in the sale is a great result.

“It has been a big team effort to get here and our thanks go out to the Sandown Park team, they have been a pleasure to work with and it has been really enjoyable putting this sale together with them.

"The facilities here are superb, everything is in such close proximity and it has worked so well so we are looking forward to coming back next year and building on it.

"Finally to our vendors, they backed us and this new idea with a great bunch of horses, we couldn’t have done it without them, so we send a big thanks to them for their support. We also wish our buyers all the very best of luck and hope that we will see some of the horses back here at Sandown, this time on the track, in the near future.”
