GORDON Elliott has 13 horses entered in next Tuesday’s Tattersalls Ascot May Sale and nine of them are previous winners.

Other Irish vendors with entries include Sean Doyle, Denis Murphy, Sam Curling and Louise Lyons.

Among the British-based trainers with consignments are Nicky Henderson, Jonjo O’Neill, Gary Moore, Brian Meehan, Philip Hobbs and Marcus Tregoning.

Godolphin is sending seven horses to the sale, including two winners. Its draft includes the dual winner Met Office who is out of an own-sister to Pacifique and a well-bred daughter of Churchill out of a daughter of Group 1 winner Music Show.

As this varied list of vendors would indicate, the sale is mixed and features fillies and mares in and out of training, colts and geldings in and out of training, point-to-pointers and store horses.

Gordon Elliott’s team includes recent Perth bumper winner Gun Runner Cash, Gigginstown’s graded race performers Column Of Fire and Ragnar Lodbrok, plus Bective Stud’s Showbusines, who was placed third in a maiden hurdle at Down Royal recently.

Among the store horses entered are progeny by Black Sam Bellamy, Champs Elysees, Kayf Tara, Sageburg and Telescope.

Wildcard entries include Morning Vicar from Nicky Henderson’s yard. The nine-year-old son of Beneficial is a four-time winner who boasts a current BHA rating of 129 over fences.

Jonjo O’Neill’s Jackdaws Castle will offer Anywayyoulookatit and Minella Till Dawn, who is Grade 2 placed over fences.
