THE dam of champion novice hurdler Constitution Hill was sold for £340,000. Aged 12, the mare Queen Of The Stage is in foal to Blue Bresil and therefore carrying a full-sibling to this year’s Supreme Novices’ Hurdle winner.

Sold through the Goffs Online platform by breeders Phil and Sally Noott, Queen Of The Stage was bought by Jayne McGivern’s Dash Grange Stud in Oxfordshire.

The stud is known for having a high-quality National Hunt broodmare band but is also expanding into flat breeding. McGivern recently bought nominations to flat stallions Time Test, Aclaim and Profitable in online auctions.

The £340,000 price is a new record for a horse sold via the Goffs Online timed auction platform.
