ANOTHER improved set of final figures along with one of its top priced lots of the last decade were the highlights of this week’s Goffs December National Hunt Sale but there were also trends that gave cause for concern.

Once again the sale spanned two days but over 100 more horses came under the hammer this year and that enabled the turnover to grow by 18% to just over €3.2 million. The average of €10,002 finished ahead by 6% and the median grew by 7% to €7,500.
