Online sale of breeding stock
GOFFS will host an online sale of breeding rights and elite breeding stock on Tuesday, December 13th.
The sale will be a timed auction hosted on Goffs Online. Earlier this year the platform achieved prices of £340,000 for Queen Of The Stage, dam of Constitution Hill, and €205,000 for Quilita, dam of Quilixios.
Lots for the December auction will be published online in the build-up to the sale with bidding to open from 10am on Tuesday, December 13th, with lots closing from 1pm the same day.
Racehorse Trader back online
RACEHORSE Trader is back online with a number of listings.
Following the purchase of Racehorse Trader by Ed Babington and Alice Lukey-Smith, a number of enhancements have been made to the website and the focus will be on sales listings.
Babington said: “We have a good, loyal client base and are looking forward to offering them the ability to list their horses and shares for sale at a time that suits them.
“As an owner myself, having the ability to sell a horse at a time that suits you is so important. The listing also provides owners with a good value and flexible outlet for selling their horses. We have a number of exciting lots listed for sale and we will continue to develop the website and our audience.”

Ballylinch keep Lone Eagle
BALLYLINCH Stud paid €300,000 this week to keep Lone Eagle, last year’s Irish Derby runner-up. The four-year-old son of Galileo has raced for Ballylinch and Aquis Farm when winning a Group 3 race as a juvenile and when classic-placed at the Curragh. Trained by Freddie and Martyn Meade, Lone Eagle has struggled to repeat that level of form this year though was placed third in a listed race.
