TATTERSALLS Ireland has published online details of the catalogue for the February National Hunt Sale, which takes place on Tuesday, January 31st. There are 274 lots listed, all but 28 of them are newly-turned yearlings.

Recent Grade 1 winner Champ Kiely was sold for just €5,800 as a yearling at this sale in 2017.

The 2023 catalogue features half brothers and sisters to several graded and listed race winners including the Walk In The Park half-sister to Grade A handicap chase winner Dunvegan, the Poet’s Word half-brother to Frontal Assault, and the Soldier Of Fortune half-sister to Capuccimix. Other blacktype performers whose siblings feature among the catalogue include Sporting John, Notachance, Captain Cutter, Robin De Carlow and Clondaw Castle.

There are several offerings out of blacktype winning mares catalogued including a Blue Bresil filly out of the multiple Grade 1 winner Asian Maze and a colt out of Grade 3 winner Oscar Rebel, and a Hillstar colt out of 11-time winner Voler La Vedette.

A Crystal Ocean colt out of an own sister to Grade 1 winner Battleoverdoyen and a Walk In The Park colt out of Grade 2-winning Dare To Doubt are amongst the other highlights.
