BUYERS will have the unique opportunity to tap into some of the iconic Ballymacoll families at Goffs February Sale next week as the first stage of a complete dispersal of the prestigious stud takes place.

Five fillies and mares from Ballymacoll Stud will be offered for sale without reserve on the final day of the three-day sale, Thursday, February 9th. They will be consigned by Jockey Hall Stud.

The draft includes two exciting young fillies in Edith Wharton and Olive Branch. Edith Wharton comes from a great Ballymacoll family that has been nurtured for generations. She is by the great Dubawi out of the champion homebred and multiple Group 1 winner Islington.

Olive Branch is another filly with an impeccable pedigree being a sister to Group 1 winner Sir John Hawkwood and hailing from the family of young French stallion Naaqoos. Video footage of both Edith Wharton and Olive Branch is available on the Goffs website.

Ballymacoll Stud have three other high class offerings in La Donna E Mobile, a three-year-old daughter of Pivotal out of an own-sister to Islington, as well as her two-year-old sister by Iffraaj in La Vesale and finally the winning Danehill Dancer mare Kitty Hawk.

Fillies and mares with pedigrees such as these rarely come to the marketplace and are sure to generate a lot of interest.
