PERHAPS the highlight of last week’s Tramore Festival was the extraordinary effort on the part of Brian Hayes to get Dolly Dancer home in front in the Europcar Mares Beginners Chase last Sunday.

Everything looked to be going smoothly for the 5/2 chance when she took over in front with four to jump. At the second last fence Dolly Dancer spotted a small gap at the side of the fence and attempted to run out, but she changed her mind at the last minute.
