Mindful to keep his hip flask where it should be while hunting and not in his breast pocket, Clonroche racehorse trainer, funeral director and sheep farmer Roy Tector wasn’t so careful with his mobile phone recently.

“We were hunting out of Adamstown about a month ago,” revealed the Wexford Foxhounds’ member. “As I jumped on to a bank it gave way and my horse came back on top of me, hitting me full in the chest. I thought I was alright but, a couple of days later, I nearly keeled over with the pain. They discovered I had cracked ribs where the phone had been in my pocket!”
