ROAD To Riches has been ruled out of the Cheltenham Festival with a setback and might not run again this season.

Noel Meade's stable stalwart finished third to Coneygree in the Gold Cup in 2015 and third to Vautour in the Ryanair Chase last term.

This season has been interrupted by injury and he was some way below his best in the Irish Gold Cup won by Sizing John.

Meade said: "Road To Riches will not be running in the Gold Cup. He's had a bit of a setback. He has an internal problem, and I don't know whether he will be able to run again this season."

Meade will still have a select squad travelling to the Cotswolds.

He added: "I haven't spoken to Eddie (O'Leary, Gigginstown House Stud) yet, but I'm pretty sure that Measureofmydreams will run in the handicap chase (Ultima) on the first day.

"The plan is still for Disko to go for the JLT, and A Genie In Abottle for the four-miler. Snow Falcon is in great form and goes for the Stayers' Hurdle."
