MORE than 50 people travelled to Lusk’s Equestrian Centre in Saintfield, Co Down last weekend to attend a rider development workshop organised by the College of Agriculture, Food and Rural Enterprise (CAFRE).

Aimed at bringing education, innovation and technology transfer together for the benefit of the equine industry, the day consisted of a combination of practical and theory sessions on rider development. CAFRE’s Enniskillen campus students were demonstration riders, while industry experts such as rider performance physiotherapist Louise Broom, talked about rider asymmetry and its effects on the balance of the horse and rider.
