TO CELEBRATE 'Rachael Blackmore Serial Winners Fund' edging towards the goal of £250,000 Betfair have today released a special edition of their 'Coaching Carter' series.

In this episode, top tipster, Daryl Carter, makes an inspiring and thought-provoking visit to the 'Injured Jockeys Fund' Lambourn facility at Oaksey House.

Daryl meets the staff and chats with some of the recipients of the services provided, plus hears their poignant stories.

Former top jockey, George Baker, puts Daryl through his paces and a session in the gym determines if he passes the rigorous 'return to riding' test. This is something all jockeys must complete before returning to competitive action from injury.

We also hear from Oaksey House resident, Wayne Burton, whose spinal injury confines him to a wheelchair but doesn't limit his ambitions and determination.

A top team of medical professionals are at hand to nurse past and present jockeys back to peak condition and we see firsthand the extraordinary work they do.

Charlotte Booth, Chief Commercial Officer for Betfair commented today: ''It's great to see how the money raised by the 'Serial Winners Fund' will contribute to the amazing work the IJF are doing at their Lambourn Centre. The support provided by the dedicated team is incredible, and with each winner Rachael rides the fund will continue to grow. It's exciting for us to be part of something that is helping deliver such essential services to jockeys.’’

Lisa Hancock, the Injured Jockeys Fund CEO continued: ‘’We are very grateful to Betfair for this generous initiative, which is helping provide vital funds to help support injured jockeys and those in need. We would like to thank them for providing insight into the work of the Fund and some of the wide range of services which it provides”.
