THERE was a big turnout for the Godolphin Careers Event at Kildangan Stud last Saturday.

The event commenced with a panel discussion where Godolphin Ireland employees gave an insight into their career development, as well as an overview of the diverse roles available at the company.

Participants then enjoyed a short walking tour of the stud where they viewed some promising Godolphin yearlings and got an insight into their conformation and pedigree.

Attendees also had an opportunity to meet the Godolphin Ireland HR manager Breda Kelly and learned about the Godolphin Flying Start programme from first year Flying Start trainees.

Guests learned about the Godolphin Lifetime Care programme for retired racehorses and they got to meet retired stallion Doyen and heard about how Godolphin support second careers for retrained racehorses from Sarah Sands of Treo Eile.

The event finished with a stallion show which included Darley stallions Native Trail, Night Of Thunder and Space Blues.
