Ryan Moore hit with seven-day ban

PRECEDING the Cox Plate winner Adelaide’s lacklustre return in the Queen Elizabeth Stakes on unsuitably soft ground, jockey Ryan Moore was handed a seven-day suspension from the Australian Oaks after allowing the Coolmore part-owned Ballet Suite to shift in at the first turn causing Savaria to be checked. “I made an error and I’d say careless,” Moore told stewards.
