SINCE changing Covid-19 zones on May 20th in New South Wales from Provincial to Metropolitan, Co. Roscommon’s Louise Day has made good use of her 3kg apprentice’s claim winning five races from 44 starts against Sydney’s best in the past three weeks.

A winner on her first day out of her 14-day quarantine, 25-year-old Day landed a double at Randwick the following Saturday, was a subsequent winner at Canterbury and backed-up with a fine win on Wandabaa in the A$100,000 Vale Darby McCarthy Handicap for trainer Kris Lees, with whom she is indentured to.
