JONATHAN O’Grady, son of trainer Edward, was a proud man when we spoke to him recently after he had emerged triumphant as the Irish open backgammon champion at the tournament held in the Royal Marine Hotel, Dún Laoghaire on October 23rd.

Jonathan likened it to Leicester’s victory in last year’s Premier League when they were 5000/1 shots at the beginning of the season.
