THE Ladbrokes Troytown Chase takes centre stage on Sunday November 27th at Navan. The €100,000 race is the feature on a day that also sees the Grade B Proudstown Handicap Hurdle, the Grade 3 Monksfield Novice Hurdle and the Listed Coolmore NH Sires EBF Mares Flat Race being run.

The Troytown Chase is long associated with Navan racecourse where racing started in 1921, the year after Troytown won the Grand National at Aintree. The gelding was owned and bred by Major Thomas Collins-Gerrard and the trophy presented to this day is one that was given to the racecourse by Major Collins-Gerrard and his wife.
