HAVING only held an apprentice’s licence a little over two weeks, it was a great feeling to ride my first winner under rules recently.

That win, aboard Eastern Racer, came on just my fifth ride on the racetrack. My aim over the coming months is to get as much experience as possible, just letting the rest take care of itself.
